Review: Fatih Akin's well-intended 'The Cut' does a disservice to a historical tragedy

Fatih Akin's "The Cut" with Tahar Rahim ("A Prophet") has premiered in Venice. But while it aims to document the barbaric Armenian genocide, it undercuts the event's gravity by eschewing any sort of epic language.
